migraine!
ache, neck pain and feel terrible. This has gone on for 2 weeks. Does anyone have a solution to curb the pain. Dr. gave me muscle relaxers but they made me sick. Help please. Thanks in advance.
Hi….I have the same problem. My TMJ will usually get a lot worse when i am stressed out ( headaches, neck tension, fatigue ). It can last for weeks when this happens, so if you can’t take muscle relaxers, you need to do things that will relax you. I take long, hot bubble baths, do stretching exercises, put heat around my neck, and try to get extra sleep. It may take a while, but you will learn what works for you. Good luck, and feel better soon
I get sudden incredibly intense headaches that only last for a second or two. I’ve been getting them for about 2 years. Sometimes I go a month without having any and sometimes I’ll have 10 in a day.
Does anyone know what this could be? I’d really like to find out so that I can stop them, they’re very painful
i urge you to seek a physician♦
Had spinal tap last night to rule out meneigititis(neg), has high blood pressure but all ct-scan’s and blood work rule out stroke or brain bleed. No neurological work up yet. but will look into.
Go see a chiropractor. There are many types of headaches that are cervicogenic (come from the neck) in nature.
Try this pressure point exercise to see if it helps!

hello,my 12 year old son has had a headache on the right side of the head around the temple any ideas?
Is this the first time? If it isn’t, then i’d be concerned and would take him to your GP.
If it is, it probably is just a migraine, but i’d still be concerned at his age and for this long. I’d actually probably take him to the doctor either way.
I don’t want to scare you, but when i was around 11 i started getting horrible headaches a lot. I went to my GP numerous amounts of times, he didn’t seem to take it serious until finally he said to get a CT scan, it showed nothing unfortunately, and of course the doctor was even more sure now and that i was exaggerating. Until about 5 years later i suffered a cerebral hemorrhage caused from something i was born with which COULD have been prevented if i had got an MRI.
I have suspected TMJ. Has anyone found relief from the awful pain that this is causing? I have headaches, jaw pain that is an 8 out of 10 at times, and neck pain. I don’t even want to chew on my right side. It just hurts.
I would love to hear any ideas regarding how to alleviate this discomfort.
Thanks in advance.
My daughter is managing her TMJ, having been diagnosed recently.
The dentist made her a mouthpiece to help keep her from grinding her teeth in her sleep, which may have helped some.
The oral surgeon prescribed a muscle relaxant to take before bed for the same reason, with helped at first.
What seems to make the most difference is taking ibuprofen continuously for several days, as there is a cumulative effect. She can stop for some time after that.
A heating device she warms in the microwave and holds to her jaw in the evenings does some good.
De-stressing is probably the best way.
I can’t get her to use the relaxation techniques I taught her when she was little.
I may eventually build her a biofeedback monitor, but we still have hopes she will manage it the way she is going.
Best wishes.
It isn’t a constant pain, when I get it it comes sometimes every few minutes, sometimes every few hours.
Have you been on a airplane recently??
I used to have a really charp pain just at my eyebrow – it turned out that it was a ‘pressue” bubble in a vein from an airplane.
When the pain begins, press your finger to the side (the side opposite your nose) from the pain. then slowly, while keeping your finger pressed firly, more your finger towards the very top of your nose.
If this doesnt work, feel free to make me a contact and message me
Good luck!!
I have had this neck stiffness its on both sides since november of 08 and i have constant headaches in the back of my head mainly by the left side of my ear the left side of my neck is stiffer and sticks out more then the right side of my neck… i have asked a doctor before and he said that i had just pulled something i dont think i did or it should have been gone by now… does anyone know whut this might be??
Go back to the doctor (or got to another doctor) and get reevaluated. Obviously, you didn’t just pull something. It might be that your arteries in your neck are clogged which is dangerous. It might be that you’re just overstressed and a couple massages or spine realignment (chiropractor) might do the trick. It might be there’s some other problem with the vertebrae. You’ve had this thing for 8 months so go back and tell him to look more closely, do some other tests, etc.
i have a white lesion on my right side of my brain and i currently have a horrible headache there
I get those frequently. If you take medicines like concerta, zoloft, etc headaches can be a side affect. But seeing it’s winter it could be just sinuses or a headcold. Get it checked out though.
I have had constant headaches for the last 3 years now. I mean CONSTANT, I can’t think of one day without pain. I get plenty of sleep, I don’t drink a lot of caffeine, I drink plenty of water(but not to much). Usually I can stand the pain, I’ve learned to deal with it. on a normal day, the pain peaks at a about a 5, with a low around a 3(pain scale of 1-10, 10 being worst). every few weeks I get a killer migraine, usually around an 8 or 9, though I have had a few 10s. These are real migraines, pain so intense I am in tears, i can’t stand even the slightest sound or light, I am collapsed, unable to move because of the pain. I haven’t had insurance for the last 2 years, i can’t go get it checked. I am looking for ideas of pain relief, legal ones preferably. I’m out of ideas. Excedrin makes me puke, and regular Tylenol, Alive, and Advil don’t work anymore.
sounds like migraines. there are plenty of migrane medicine available that u can buy from online pharmacies that are based overseas.
www.drugbuyers.com is a website that specializes in buying medicine online w/o prescription, just credit card number. ive bought plenty of things on there cus im lazy its cheaper then scheduling an appointment with a doctor. but they are also great if u dont have insurance. my favorites was toprxsavings.com. here is a direct link to the migraine section:

order one of those drugs and see if it works. if it doesnt then try a different one. there are plenty of migraine medications out there that arent scheduled drugs and easily available online. do wikipedia or webmd research on types of drugs for migraine pain and order them online.
