Please help us out, if you can list some doctors or some medicines, he has tried a couple, (Motrin, Advil, Tylenol Cold, Excedrin,) if you have any answers to this, please answer, one doctor also said he had sinus problems, he had surgery and didn’t work, tell anything you have, home remedies, doctors, or medicines, we are desperate, Thank you
OK there are many different types of headaches. However, if he is having jaw pain ( into the cheek), he most likely has TMJ ( acondition with the jaw). The above responder recommended a night guard because this is the treatment dentists give for TMJ.
However, the most common cause of TMJ is a misalignment of the head and neck. When they are misaligned, the head is tilted slightly to one side. As a result, the jaw tries to compensate in order to be level. This means that it will get loose on one side and tighter on the other side. I would be willing to bet that your dad also has pain at at the mastoid process (most likely on the left side).
You can find the mastoid process by starting at the bump in the venter of the back of your head. Move out toward the ears along the ridge you feel. When you almost get to the ears, you will feel a bump. That is the mastoid process)
So my recommendation is that you see a chiropractor. They should be able to diagnose what is going on. More than likely they will adjust your occiput ( base of skull) and this should help. Make sure that when calling around to chiropractors that you ask if they adjust the occiput (pronounced ox- see- put). Some chiropractors don’t. This should help realign your head and neck and then allow for the muscles to relax and then the pain will subside.
I had had one patient who’s jaw and cheek pain went away almost immediately.
I hope this helps. If you have any further questions feel free to contact me at dare2care@dishmail.net ( the Yahoo Answers e-amil does not work for me).
I really wish you the best
I have daily pain and have tried everything.
defnitly.botox was first used to treat pain and relax muscles.
Okay so im going to the doctor today but i wanted to know if there was a chance you guys could help me out here too. I have been having horrible headaches for almost a month but then i hardly ever get acne and i suddenly get it? im confused and worried Also im tired all the time more than i should be so whats some logical stuff to explain?
High Estrogen Levels Maybe? Same thing happened to me found out my estrogen levels were high.
I lay down alot and put my feet up…everyday I wake up with back pains and neck pains. They aren’t severe but than later in the day I begin to have headaches sometimes and the neck pains begin to get worse.
I sleep on my side always and I use 2 pillows or I sleep on my stomach I can’t sleep on my back! I never do!
My neurologist and physical therapist both have told me that headaches can be caused by poor posture and sitting at tasks, like the computer, where your shoulders and torso are pitched forward but your head is cocked back so that you can look straight on. I was told to try the following exercises (in addition to doing basic crunches to improve my core body strength and improve my posture…):
1. Sit straight up, with your back as straight as you can, and sit on your hands to keep your shoulders from hunching up. Turn your head slightly to the left and look down at your left wrist, dropping your chin until you feel the stretch in your right shoulder. Hold for 10 seconds, then repeat on your right side, looking at your right wrist until you feel the stretch in your left shoulder, and so on. Do each side 10 times.
2. Sit up as straight as possible. Place 2-3 fingers on your chin, and push it straight back towards your spine until you feel the stretch down the back of your neck and into your shoulders. Hold for 5 seconds, repeat 5 times.
These are fairly gentle stretching exercises – there are more that help strengthen and elongate the muscles in your neck and shoulders, but they require a little bit more effort and you should probably see your health care provider (GP, neuro, or PT, etc.) before you go much further. Hopefully, though, these will give you a little relief and maybe a clue as to what is causing your problems. Good Luck!
Well my head was only hurting on the riight side for awhile and near my eyes and nose now my neck and ear on the right side kind of hurts too.
But I do know I have like a mild viral infection, and I have some nasal congestion.
Do you know what kind of headache this is?
I get it sometimes.
But to also include my house is dry so my nose gets dry and hurts… maybe that could give me a headache since my house is dry?
Your GB Meridian is blocked on right side hence this problem.
Pl try cold water bath and observe, if pain increases use warm.
If you have cough/cold body hot water bath will help.
Pl try simple acupressure given below for immediate relief.
If it fails you will have to go for Acupuncture.
There is hardly any medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for RA, OA, Back ache and almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, bad smell, TV & COMPUTER SOMETIMES, Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy, BODY CONSTITUTION etc are their causes.
None of them can be treated with medicine.
Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment.
I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Pain killers don’t treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
The useless drugs have tremendous power of side effects like liver/kidney failures, ulcer, inflammation of intestines and lot more.
Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, tension, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale bakery foods, SMOKING and alcohole.
Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help if cough is not there.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves’ juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it is very strong.
If it is acute pl search a painful point (with round tipped pen/jimmy) 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.
For forehead/eye pain the points are in front of nails on the finger tips or 3-7 mm below.
It may disappear naturally too.

I mostly need them for headaches.
I would examine the following root causes of headaches…
is your spinal column aligned properly (chiropracter)
are your muscles too tense (massage therapist)
are you reacting to something you are eating (a friend of mine was allergic to the dye in nacho cheese doritis …causing migraines…personally if I eat anything with msg I get a headsache)
sometimes an extended water only fast will eliminate toxins from the body that cause headaches
and finally if there is a root like unforgiveness, fear, anxiety or stress seek counsel and you will find freedom from headaches
or you can continue to mask the pain with drugs such as 222’s or tylenol 3 with codeine
So, I started getting headaches about 4 months ago (about a month in a half after we moved into our duplex). My 7 year old started getting headaches as well…now, my 6 year old son is getting headaches..does anyone think maybe there is something dangerous in our home that I am not aware of…Thanks!!
Do you have a carbon monoxide detector in your home? It might be a good idea to get those carbon monoxide levels checked out… We have one in our home and it’ll beep if it detects carbon monoxide in the air.
Any body have any answer or anybody have the same symptoms? I have been to the Dr. for my headaches but they say I am fine. It scares me but really nothing I can do. I also have been feeling sick to my stomach lately Oh ya i sometimes feel lightheaded to
Have you tried any kind of antihistamine or decongestant? I’d try Benadryl personally. The headaches could be caused by congestion, and congestion will make your face hurt, maybe make your eye feel like it’s going to explode? It could be caused by a bug which is attacking your immune system, causing your glands to ache and your sinuses to clog. Drainage from the congestion can cause nausea too, especially while you’re sleeping. Sometimes your nose won’t even be stuffed or anything but your head can still be stuffed by itself. The pressure in your sinuses can make you dizzy also. When I get pressure headaches and achey feeling that helps relieve the pressure!
If you go to the store for some sort of cold medicine or decongestant, read the label, a lot of those are just re-packaged Tylenol, a total rip-off. You’ll probably be best off with severe cold decongestant or allergy decongestant. Also, consider adding some extra vitamin C and zinc to your daily multivitamin to combat the nasties!
I have been feeling ill with some virus, and have had this throbbing headache, which comes and goes.My scalp is extremely sensitive to touch. This has been going on for about 5 days.Any comments? I feel extremely weary.I am sixty and female.
The pain you are experiencing could be a Migraine. The head pain that you may feel during a Migraine attack is usually one sided and can be throbbing. The scalp sensitivity you’re experiencing is probably allodynia, "a painful response to a non-painful stimuli". It’s not uncommon to have allodynia with a Migraine. Here’s some information on it:

A Migraine can last 5 days. I don’t want to worry you but please remember the 72 hour rule: Pain from a Migraine lasting longer than 72 hours with less than 4 hours relief while awake is called "Status Migrainous" and requires immediate medical attention. Status Migrainous can cause stroke, coma and even death.

Thanks.
It’s not a good mix. Here is how you can release a headache the natural way:
Back of head:
Place your hands behind your head and put your fingers on the muscles on your neck. Press a moderate pressure onto them and hold it. Now relax, take a deep breath and exhale and don’t tense up any part of your body. After 30 seconds, slowly lower your head until your neck is fully extended. Then release the pressure but hold your head there for one minute longer.
