It’s been happening more often now.. but atleast once or twice a month i get this headache off to the right side of my forhead. It slowly comes on.. and takes the longest time to go away. It slowly gets worse and worse where it hurts a lil when i walk or when i whip my head around…it eventually goes away.. I was just wondering what causes this? I’ve taken advil, aspirin, and some other things and it nothing ever helps it…
well i just find it strange how its always in the same spot and sometimes it causes my right eye to water a lil so idk
Are you getting de-hydrated. That is the leading cause of headaches… Try to drink more water and see what happens.
Hey there
I am 41 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I am due to be induced tomorrow @ 7 am.
My question is– my blood platelets are really low, and they have told me I can’t have an epidural or any pain meds that will thin my blood any further. Then my dr got called out to a delivery, so I never got to ask him- what pain meds are available to me that DONT thin your blood– no epidural or spinal, I know that already. I have ben having contractions all day yesterday, all night last night, and getting worse now- maybe I won’t make my induction, lol… anyways, pain management techniques would be appreciated! This is my second baby, baby # 1 was over 10 lbs, and I did it naturally, but this time I want to be more comfortable and would like to look at pain relief options.
Also, is it possible to be in labour and only have the following symptoms— lower abdonimal pain like period cramps, nausea, headache and lower back pain, and sharp cervical pain? I haven’t had any contractions yet…
and I THINK I am in labour, when I was at the drs Thursday he said I was already 4 cm dialated… This just feels SO different than labour with my son that I don’t know what’s going on… labour without contractions? Should I go to the hospital?
ALSO! I was in labour for like 47 hours with my son– he was 10 lbs ++. I dialated really slowly. since I am already dialated to almost 4 cm, should labour be a bit quicker this time (I hope so!), and will I need an episiotomy like I did with my son? I heard with second babies you don’t often need an episiotomy and that labour goes much quicker…
Thanks!
And I am only asking this out of curiosity- since I am being induced tomorrow, and I have a dr appt this afternoon… just asking because I’m curious… I know better than to rely on yahoo answers for medical stuff, lol…
Please call your DOCTOR ASAP.
Only they can answer this for you.
I have a hereditary predisposition for high blood press and it was consistently 130-90 or so when measured. This was even when I was younger and somewhat athletic. Since then, the doctor put me on a low-dose drug that got it down to 120-80 and slightly less. But this year, I have been exercising a lot and now my bp often measures pretty low, such as 87/59, and my pulse is often under 60.
I also have what’s termed Metabolic Syndrome where my cholesterol numbers are also very weird — hereditary — but those are all normal now, too, thanks in part to the exercising. I also take some generic statin pill for that but the numbers improved a lot with the workouts.
Could my health kick, combined with the pills, be giving me headaches I’m now getting? I sometimes feel a bit lightheaded, too. My doctor wants to stay the course with the pills because he figures my actvity level will decrease once the colder weather starts. I’m 38.
Yep. I am a victim of low blood pressure because I donate 1 gallon of blood every month and because of that I am having a very low blood pressure. I feel like my head’s gonna blow all the time. So the answer is yes. headaches is certain if you have a low blood pressure.
i’m a 16 year old girl who is active in sports, and have CONSTANT neck, back, and shoulder pain. They are extremely tight, and when I try to massage them they still hurt. It is hard to sit through school, because I feel constant discomfort, and I also play softball, and sometimes my shoulder is too stiff to throw well. I went to physical therapy a few times, and they game me some exercises, but they just make it hurt more. Lately I have also began to get severe headaches randomly, and sometimes feel dizzy. Also, on my legs, for the past two weeks I have been bruising very easily, sometimes without getting hit or anything, for no reason. Today I got hit with a little ground ball and within 5 seconds it was swollen and bruised. I just feel uncomfortable for some reason or another during the whole day. Does anyone have any advice about my neck, what to do, and if there is any reason for the headaches and bruising?! Thanks
If it is truely constant, meaning there is never any moment you do not feel it, it either indicated disc derragement (which doesn’t sound like you as you describe no numbness tingling, or pain radiating into the extremities), or there may be a medical cause behind your pain. Especially considering the other problems you are describing…brusing, dizziness, etc…it’s best to follow up with your physician and have all medical causes of back and neck pain ruled out.
If it’s not truely constant…if it just occurs with acitivity or poor posture, it indicates mechanical pain. Get back into PT.
I would DEFINETELY follow up with your physician for some blood work. Constant pain is not a normal finding in a 16 year old.
She’s been complaining about this for just over a week now, and it’s always in exactly the same spot, and it wakes her up at about 3am every morning. Any ideas? And no its not just when I ask for sex!
She is also on her period at the moment, could that be it?
Sounds like a migraine, they can be hormone induced often caused by period. They can last for several days if left untreated. And they can become unbearable. There is a lot to learn about migraines she will need to see her doctor. The more you put this off the higher the bill will be. Sooner or later she’ll be in the er if you don’t get it under control. Make sure you research triggers.(certain light bulbs can set of some people and everyone’s triggers are different.)
Sounds like its related to your sinuses. it could be sinusitis. if it lasts for more than 2 days i would go to the doc and get it checked out, they can probably give you something to relieve the pressure/headache. i have also heard that something called coldease helps. if its a headache only and not related to your cold try excedrin – that stuff should knock it out. I hope you feel better!
I’ve suddenly these past few nights experienced sudden onset of severe headaches in my forehead and side of my head with my vision closing in on me.. like fuzziness around my visual field.. also nausea. I’ve never had a migraine in my life so this is extremely unusual. I think i’m going to see the doctor tomorrow about it, this is the second full day i’ve had it
also extreme chills with no fever, where I can’t warm up even with a hot shower
Even though these are the symptoms of a migraine, there could also be several other possibilities. You could have anemia (low blood iron), low blood pressure, low blood sugar, or these symptoms can even be attributed to not enough (or too much) water. Regardless, there is an imbalance somewhere and the trip to the doctor’s office is your very best option.
I have pain from my neck down to my shoulders and into my arms and hands. I’ve been getting headaches rising from the back to the top of my head. I get nausea every now and then but i don’t vomit, I get dry mouth sometimes but i drink a lot of water. Can some one help?
i would suggest to go to a very experienced massage therapist bc it sounds like u have a lot of knots in ur neck and back muscles which tend to give a lot of headaches and backaches, also chiropractor to have ur joints cracked. this will relief a lot of stress off ur body and should be done every few years, it’s kinda like a tune-up for a car
I have been getting very sharp, terrible headaches on the right side of my head, right at the temple.
I’ve tried Advil, and even vicodin but neither have worked.
What could be causing this?
If advil and vicodin have not helped, I VERY STRONGLY URGE you to see a REAL doctor (homeopaths, naturopaths, yogists, accupuncturists and chiropracts are not real doctors) AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. It could be benign or serious, and a sharp headache on one side of the head can be a sign of a very serious condition such as aneurysm.
I use the computer for 6-8 hours a day, 5 days a week at work, and 4 or 5 additional hours for recreation. Weekends, I use the the computer for 8-16 hours a day as well. I don’t get headaches – it’s not the computer, period.
As an aside: paracetamol/acetaminophen/APAP/tylenol is a joke of a painkiller. You might as well take a sugar pill that you KNOW is a sugar pill. Advil is stronger than narcotics for certain kinds of pain.
Hello people,
somebody please help me to get a very good natural herbal extract for getting relief from headache, pain and other small illness without side effects. I have been using some local brands, but now i feel its not having any effects on my headache, etc. So i like to purchase a good natural herbal extract preferably it can be purchased online, Thank you. I’m waiting for your reply.
Herbs such as Cayenne (Capsicum frutescens/Capsicum spp.), Peppermint (Mentha x piperita,) Dong quai (Angelica sinensis), Devil’s claw (Harpagophytum procumbens) and Ginkgo biloba (Ginkgo biloba) can be extremely beneficial in helping to soothe pounding headaches. In addition, studies have suggested that the herb Feverfew, when used regularly, can help to eliminate or greatly reduce the frequency and severity of headaches and migraines.
