•  Do you want Treatment that Will Astound and helpYou ? BY THE TIME IT TAKES YOU TO READ THIS PAGE YOU WILL HAVE THE ANSWER,

The only self-help video I found for headaches (which was much more complicated, and took much longer to work) was $49.00. I also found an 8-week class online for $70 (Yikes! How complicated is THAT technique?!! And who wants to wait eight weeks to improve the quality of their life?)

  • Headache on right side of head only……?

Posted by admin on February 27th, 2010 and filed under chronic daily headache syndrome | 5 Comments »

ok at first it started off as strange feelings in my head on my right side…. and now im getting a headache only on the right side.. it kinda feels like a brain freeze headache….i also get these strange feelings in my body …like im just gonna pass out……i know its not a migraine because i have never had a migraine on 1 side of my head….does any1 know if it could possibly be a brain tumor or something else??

My head usually hurts only on one side too. I used to get them often but I tried doing some of these things to get less headaches:
Don’t look at a computer screen too long
Try not to eat pork often, only occasionally
    Try not to stress
Don’t go a long time without eating
    Get enough sleep
Don’t sleep with anything too tight on your head
Just keep doing that and see if these headaches stop. Then if it doesn’t you can go to the doctor. You may just need something as simple as glasses…

Unilateral headache lasting for five days; unresponsive to pain-killers; seemingly swollen lymph node in neck?

Posted by admin on February 27th, 2010 and filed under chronicdaily tension headaches | 2 Comments »

To begin, I found a lump to the upper left of my Adam’s apple ten days ago. My school nurse reassured me that it was a swollen lymph node, but that I should go to the doctor if it’s not drained in a week or so.

Five days later (five days ago): A unilateral head"ache" emerges behind my left temple. I say "ache," because, though there is always a dull pressure, the pain is not triggered unless I experience a sudden head motion (jump, plop down in chair, slight whiplash, rapidly standing up). I’ve thought about it being sinus related, but the discomfort is there regardless of a stuffy nose (which only appeared yesterday, and mildly).

Today, I went to the doctor. No recent head trauma. Normal heart rate. Normal blood pressure. Absolutely everything checks out as normal.

He told me to take motrin (ibuprofen), as it would be more effective than the two advil’s I had taken on one occasion (which were completely ineffective). Here I am, 600 mg of ibuprofen later (155 lb male, 17), with absolutely no headache relief. I took 200 more mg, and still nothing happened.

I had blood drawn for testing today (results tomorrow), and I’m scheduled for an ultrasound of my thyroid tomorrow (for the bump above my larynx). However, the doctor merely told me to see if the motrin makes my headache go away in the next two or three days. Considering the motrin did absolutely nothing, I have my doubts. I almost never take pain relievers of any kind, so it’s quite unlikely that my body is irresponsive to pain-killers because of overuse.

Any ideas for either the lump or my headache? I should know what the lump is conclusively within the next few days, but it would be good to hear ideas. After all, who trusts doctors anyway? (No offense intended to any doctors who may end up responding to this).
No, it is not mono. /sigh

As for migraines and reading online, I suppose that’s a good point. However, I would still like to hear some opinions so that I don’t feel obliged to believe every word my doctor says.
Ultrasound has confirmed that it is indeed a swollen lymph node. However, my headache is worse than yesterday, and nothing seems to alleviate the discomfort at all.

I get blood test results back tonight, but I would still very much appreciate any ideas from someone who is knowledgeable on the subject.

Unilateral head pain unresponsive to normal headache measures may indicate the start of a migraine. It’s better to just wait for your doctor because if you see something remotely similar to your symptoms online and it’s really bad, it may make you really stressed.

Sinus infection, ear infection, headache, back of neck is stiff?

Posted by admin on February 27th, 2010 and filed under chronic daily nejm Headaches | 5 Comments »

I did go to a Dr. they ask whats wrong, I tell them. They give me antbiotics , There Not working! Did I miss read my simtoms ? Dr checked my ears other than that Never checked me at all. Pain in neck ,ears, and head getting worse. Sinus infection & neck stiffness 2 months now, so sick of it. What can I do ?

Go back to the doctor. Ask for throat culture. There were recently two meningitis cases locally in NY – probably not what you have but if you mention the word, it will motivate them to do a wider battery of tests. Just in case.

Doctors are overworked and like to do fast diagnosis, fast disposal of cases. And in many instances, they are right and all is well. When it is not, however, you have to stand up and make noise and let the doctor know you are not satisfied.

Can an osteopath really solve the upper back/ neck pain which results in tension headache?

Posted by admin on February 24th, 2010 and filed under chronicdaily tension headaches | 6 Comments »

I’ve been visiting a recommended and highly qualified osteopath for the last year in order to get help with re-occurring pain which rises from in between my shoulder blades, into the back of my neck and shoulders, and causes me to experience dull but persistant headaches.

Although the visits to the osteopath do bring some relief, it is only temporary and they haven’t solved the problem.
I am now wondering whether there is any point in continuing these visits, as the problem seems to be muscular, probably brought on by some kind of tension, and not of musculo-skeletal nature.

Is there anything else in the field of the ‘alternative’ medicine that some of you have perhaps found useful when experiencing this, or similar?

    Thank you for your time:)

Btw, I do practice Pilates on a regular basis and am on a skinny side.
Thank you all very much for your advice.
I wish you all a happy, healthy and peaceful 2007.

Since you say visits to Chiropractors and Osteopaths fix the problem temporarily, you probably need to look at what you are doing between visits. If your problems are not caused by some sort of neurological or spinal problem, then its very likely that you are doing something to cause the problem, or at least failing to do what’s needed to prevent the problem from reoccurring. It sounds a lot like you could have a habit of craning your neck, hunching your back, or maybe sleeping in an awkward position. These types of things can be turned around by removing the cause and getting things back on track by stretching. If the pain is caused by spasms, you might find some relief by taking a magnesium supplement several time per day. I found this website to be helpful:

How do you get rid of a right side headache?

Posted by admin on February 21st, 2010 and filed under chronic daily headache syndrome | 5 Comments »

It starts at the base of the neck and raidats to my right eye.

Sounds like a migraine coming on, they typically are on one side of the head. So get some ice packs or crush some ice up in wash cloths, and apply to where you hurt the most, and to the back of your neck and the temples. This helps to constrict the blood vessels flowing to the brain, which is what some migraine medications do.
Take in frequent small amounts of water or juice, NO drinks with caffeine as they will dehydrate you, and if this is a migraine you may get nauseated and start to vomit so you need to avoid anything that would make you get dehydrated any faster.
Next go to a quiet, dark room and rest. NO TV or computer. The Neurologist treating my daughter for migraines would never allow the TV to be on in her hospital room, even with the volume muted because the light from the screen could cause the migraine to worsen.
If you do get nauseated try a bite of a saltine cracker to settle your stomach, and some ice chips if you cannot hold fluids down.
Whether or not these measures help, if you get another headache this bad you should see a Dr.

Are there are real head massages one can do to relief headache pain?

You should be carefull to eat on time, to take a 5-10 mins break every hour from pc if you use it a low.Keep in mind that breakfast is the most important meal ever.

I get headakes from theese reasons and lately i am preventing them.

I say prevent it, dont treat it.Find out the cause.
