My headaches come very suddenly…out of nowhere. I get them at least 5 times a week. I have noticed that I have a higher sensitivity to light than sound when I have a headache. Also, it always happens above my right eye. Sometimes I can make it go away with Ibuprofen or a heating pad, but most of the time I have to wait it out or sleep it off. I am deficient in potassium, and I get dehydrated easily, but I drink a lot of water during the day. What could be causing my headaches?
If it matters at all, I’m 16, female, average height/weight.
This sounds like classic migraine symptoms. You should have your doctor do a work up to rule
out other things. The potassium deficiency might play into this but some people have no cause
at all. Mine went away when I had my tonsils removed! I found that too much citrus would trigger
mine too. Sleeping them off is the only way other than medicine to get rid of the pain. Some people
are prescribed birth control and this works for them. Do a web search for more info.
Good luck!

if there’s any stress it could be that , I am currently experiencing the same thing and I think mine is stress try doing some physical activities , if that doesn’t work I think you should go to the doctors and check it out. See what they say and hopefully they can help you find your answer.

Headaches are about the tight muscles in your neck, all your headaches start right there. Once you get the muscles released the headaches will be gone. At a christmas party I had a cousin tell me she had a headache coming on and I put this basic pressure on her neck and in less than a minute she kind of jumped up saying her headache was gone, kind of like in surprise that it could be gotten rid of that easily. So it is even good to stop one. Here is how to release your neck muscles:
Neck
Invert your hands and put them next to your head placing your thumbs in under your ears and your fingers behind your head. Squeeze together and hold until the muscles release. Then slowly lower your head until your neck is fully extended, release the pressure but hold your head there for another 30 seconds.

I’m thinking that you might be having caffeine withdrawals. Do you drink many cokes/sodas or eat a lot of chocolate? If so, you might be having some withdrawals if you don’t get enough during the day. >>>>>>>>
